Cravatta Sette Pieghe

¥22,000

This one-of-a-kind tie is hand-sewn by a skilled seamstress after untying a kimono that can no longer be worn, washing it, and returning it to cloth.

For sewing, we use Sette Piegue, a classical technique that is said to be close to the origin of neckties.
Settepiegue ties that do not use interlining or lining are characterized by their soft texture and personality. It is designed to take advantage of the texture of the fabric, so you can enjoy the supple kimono fabric as it is.

About slack thread
The thread that comes out from the back of the tie is called slack thread, and is the leftover thread that is used to sew the back of a hand-sewn tie together.
It is said to be a sign of a high-quality handmade tie, so please rest assured that it is not defective.

By leaving some room at the end of the sewing thread, it will move when tying the tie and prevent damage to the sewing thread and fabric.
Please do not cut any loose threads as this will cause the tie to disintegrate.
